Sustainable Technology for Reclamation & Repurposing Mine Tailings

BAIE Minerals Inc. (BMI) is a technology and resource development company committed to responsible mine site reclamation and resource extraction/mineral development. With offices in Baie Verte Newfoundland and Calgary Alberta, we develop technologies to sustainably extract industrial and critical minerals from abandoned mine waste. Our technologies are designed to detoxify contaminated mine waste which reduces pollution risks and improve community health and safety.

Our corporate strategy is focused on acquiring, developing and operating world-class, long-life assets in stable jurisdictions that operate through multiple price cycles. We maximize productivity and efficiency at our existing operations, maintain a strong balance sheet, and are nimble in recognizing and acting on opportunities. The pursuit of sustainability guides our approach to business, and we recognize that our success depends on our ability to establish safe workplaces for our people and collaborative relationships with communities.

BAIE Minerals specializes in technology development for upcycling mine waste to produce net-zero carbon minerals from mine tailings. We focus on reclamation and economic repurposing opportunities in the mining and resource extraction sectors where environmental situations may exist in these “end-of-life” cycle former mines and resource production sites.

All mining and resource extraction processes create “waste sites” through out their life-cycle. These waste sites create environmental liabilities. BAIE Minerals works to convert these liabilities (waste sites) into assets that derive economic value and improve sustainability.

Upcycling Mine Waste

Baie Minerals Inc. and BAIE Technologies Inc. are developing a technology for the reclamation & repurposing of the abandoned asbestos mine tailings in Baie Verte, Newfoundland. The technology is designed to decontaminate toxic waste (asbestos tailings, extract industrial & critical minerals used in net zero carbon markets and sequester CO2 via carbon mineralization using mine tailings.
